Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Great for that late night takeout with lots of options to choose from. Might have a little wait depending on what you ordered. Easy to use kiosk for ordering your food and drinks."
"Visited the Oak Street Eats for the first time today and decided on Grits and Things for brunch. I am from out of town and had heard mixed reviews about it. I didn’t quite know how to order and there was no one in there to speak to. I finally spotted the kiosk but the one I went to on the left was broken. Moved over to the right and was able to place an order. I promptly received a message from Grits and Things. I waited in the car maybe 15-20 minutes if that. Picking up my food was very simple and I found a place to eat it fairly quickly enjoying the sites of Atlanta. The food was soooooooooo good! I would recommend the Fried Salmon grit bowl!!!!! I’ve been ruined with French toast with Flavor Rich in Suwannee…but Grits n Things definitely did a good job! Edit: Went back with my son who ordered wings and I got a Cinnabon chicken n waffle from crazy Cajun. My son said the wings were good…and I will agree the wings I had were but the waffle not so much. This time our order took 45 min to get as even though it showed the order was in progress Crazy Cajun never even started the order until 25 minutes after the original completion time we had to go in and ask for assistance to get our order completed ….took about 15-20 min after that for it to be done."
"My experience was amazing, Customer service was on point. The guy behind the counter was knowledgeable about the restaurants, days, and times of operation. The food was just as I imagined it would be. I will definitely be coming back."
"Ordered from pit master wings and spuddies as well as banging tacos and my my must I say the food was fresh and hot and so delicious I highly recommend..should I also say they have the best egg rolls in town definitely will be eating here again"
"For a first time going it was nice it’s just a bit confusing at first but after that everything becomes easy. For the most part the estimate time be rite by order take an extra 20 mins . Really for hope there’s another location when you can sit down The from different places in there i just couldn’t eat one thing"
"I ordered the veggie rice bowl and a friend got the meatloaf with cheesy mashed potatoes from Sweet Pea Eatery. We picked up, so there was no dining in but the food was tasty and the portions was generous. I got a good amount of rice and veggies for the price. My friend let me try the meatloaf since I've never had it before and I was pretty impressed. Gonna keep this spot on rotation for quick weekend meals!"
"Tacos Acapulco Authentic Mexican Food is one of the Best…. I recommend 100%. The Tamales plate is so Good.."
"OMG my husband and I are visiting from South Carolina. I googled brunch spots near me and Grits and Things popped up. I had the shrimp and grits and my husband had chicken and peach cobbler waffles. The service was fast, taking into consideration we placed our order once we arrived at Oak Street Eats! We had no idea it wasn’t a dining in facility. However, babyyyyyy the food was fresh, delicious, perfectly seasoned and the BEST grits I have ever tasted. I will be bragging & referring people to your establishment. I hate we are just now finding this jewel but we will most definitely be back before we relocate overseas. I highly recommend if you want fast service, delicious food and worth the price tag. Last but not least we loved the sealed bags also."
